Dr. Nance Dicciani is a member of the URA Board of Trustees and is the retired president and CEO of Honeywell Specialty Materials, serving as the top corporate officer from 2001 to 2008. Previously, she was senior vice president and business group executive of Chemical Specialties and director of the European Region for Rohm and Haas. During her tenure at Rohm and Haas, she also served as vice president of the Petroleum Chemicals Division and headed the company’s worldwide monomers business.
In 2006, Dicciani was appointed by President George W. Bush to the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. She currently serves on the Executive Committee of the American Chemistry Council and chairs the Board Research Committee. Dr. Dicciani also serves on the Boards of Directors for Halliburton, Praxair, and Rockwood Holdings, Inc. and on the board of trustees of Villanova University.
Twice ranked as one of the “World’s 100 Most Powerful Women” by Forbes magazine, she was also named as one of the “Top 40 Most Important People in the Chemical Industry” in 2006 by Chemical Business.
Dr. Dicciani earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Villanova University, a Master of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia, and a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. She also has an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
